[Note: For those of you who have seen the beautiful movie by Hayao Miyazaki but not read the book, the literary relationship between Sophie and Howl is much more gleefully antagonistic, with the undercurrent of a true and abiding love deeply buried beneath their mutual teasing, heckling, fighting and general all-around mischief. Also, Howl is even more of a prima donna rockstar.]
