It's all make believe isn't it?
What is Sin?

Lust.

makes life a whirlwind of ever climbing ambitions and longing, a tundra of true life, rather than existence. Fun.

Greed. Don't we all deserve a little pleasure for ourselves? For if life has no greater meaning, surely we should simply enjoy the fruits of life while we are still on earth? Pleasure.

Sloth. The antithesis of to laze, something which only society has created as an evil, not nature. If we cannot rest, how can we appreciate the beauty of the world? Indulgence.

Vanity. If one cannot look at oneself and love, how can anything ever be beautiful or good or wondrous without being corrupted by the dark tinge of jealousy? Appreciation

Gluttony. Good food is one of the greatest joys of life, the marvellous sensations of the world in a single pleasurable sense we have been gifted with. Excess in those things which make one happy. That is what good things are for.

Envy. If we cannot look upon better things and wish, how could we ever strive towards greater things? Ambition to beauty.

Hate. Hate is the parallel of love. Without one, how can the other exist. Great things have sprung from hatred, and without it, how would we define ourselves? It cuts the fine edges of life.

So give me a sin, then, and I'll make a beauty of it.

When the simple fact of existence is the very thing that begets life, then is truth the existence, or the life?

Rationality is absurdity. How else do we explain the fact that in a universe devoid of absolutes, human civilization has created multitudes?

Revolution. Absurdism. Original Sin. The Lost Paradise. Give me God then.

*Points helpfully upwards* That's in your ff.net profile. I made a desktop background off that last line ages ago. It makes me happy when I see it. Every time, without fail. Only not happy because that's the wrong word but...I like it. Lots. It's...killing prose.

And talking aobut killing prose....Maligant Objects? Preferably the next twenty chapters complete with epilogue? I have resorted to reading Final Fantasy VII because there is no good writing left in the HP fandom. Really, I suffer. Make me better? *bats eyelashes*

I seriously need to lay off the cypber speech, dude. And the valley girl, too. Meh.

Haha, I'm actually finishing off the next chapter now, so if there's anything you want to see, or any ideas, please let me know!

Really? I'd love to see the background if you've still got it around, and thankyou for that comment. 'Killing prose' - that phrase is really ... conceptual, really interesting. I like it.

Anyhow, hopefully the chapter will be up soon.

Killing prose is my favorite phrase of all time, especially since someone once said that about my writing. Well, actually they said, 'your prose is killing me' but the squishy part of my brain fell completely in love and...there's no other way to describe the things you do with words, srsly.

If you give me your e-mail address, I can send you the background. I'm too lazy to go and fight with photobucket at the moment.

Things I'd like to see, always the same, Tobias from soemone else's POV. I just adore outsider's perspectives and how they seldom match with what's really going on inside.

Email address is: charlie-.blue@hotmail.com

I think I can manage that, and I've already got a fair bit of outside POV - I just hope it lives up to expectations is all!

Anyhow, the chapter's about done, and I'm just waiting on my lovely beta now.
