Oh my god, I've lost my mind. So this started out on tumblr, but then I thought, why deny livejournal the fruits of my insanity? So here you go; casting the Hogwarts founders, with snippets of dialogue thrown in.

The Hogwarts Founders
bold Gryffindor, from wild moor,
fair Ravenclaw, from glen,
sweet Hufflepuff, from valley broad,
shrewd Slytherin, from fen.

Mafia 'Verse, Misha Collins and memes, oh my!
You might have heard about the oh-so-secret (hah!), elaborate scheme I've been cooking up with [personal profile] egregiouslypink, otherwise known as The Motherfucking Mafia AU (Now With 100% More Misha Collins).

Yeah, so then this fell out of my head. )-

And because not only am I a sheep, but also that lazy one who's always trailing behind the pack, meme!

Ask me my fannish (tv, movies, books, music) Top Five [Whatevers]. Any top fives. Doesn't matter what, really! And I will answer them all in a new post.

Blatant Self-Indulgence, meet Shameless Prose. Now gang up on Charlie.
Meme from [livejournal.com profile] speccygeekgrrl

1. Take five books off your bookshelf.
2. Book #1 -- first sentence
3. Book #2 -- last sentence on page fifty
4. Book #3 -- second sentence on page one hundred
5. Book #4 -- next to the last sentence on page one hundred fifty
6. Book #5 -- final sentence of the book
7. Make the five sentences into a paragraph

I first met Dean not long after my wife and I split up. I murmured an excuse and slipped away, leaving them to their own formidable devices. The eye of the saint, focused on the meaning of a short earthly life, frightful in every way, focused on the imminence of the final decision about an endless new life to come, this burnt-out eye, in a half-wasted body, made men of the old world tremble to their depths. A long, stringy man, wearing three rows of beads around his neck, and a belt of chicken-bones around his waist; his dark skin stained with ashes his hair loose and long - naked except for beads and ashes, the sadhu strides up amongst the red-tiled mansions. I felt like a monster reincarnation of Horatio Alger ... A Man on the Move, and just sick enough to be totally confident.

Which sparked an apocalyptic SPN drabble. Don't ask. Spoilers are vague for S4 )

Oh Daily Show, never change.

And now a Supernatural AU of the Political/Punditry fandom has eaten my brain. )

And now, because there is a magnificent one brewing over the ocean, a mix of songs that I, for whatever reason, associate with thunderstorms:
