Fic: Without You, Ambiguous Backstory Is Nothing
Without You, Ambiguous Backstory Is Nothing
Inception/Ocean's 11; PG 13; 3 500 words; Rusty/Eames, Rusty/Danny

Companion piece to the brilliant I Don't Think You Think I Think About Probability by [livejournal.com profile] karanguni.

‘Simple,’ says Danny, ‘I’ll dream it.’ So of course they all end up in jail. )

Oh my god, I've lost my mind. So this started out on tumblr, but then I thought, why deny livejournal the fruits of my insanity? So here you go; casting the Hogwarts founders, with snippets of dialogue thrown in.

The Hogwarts Founders
bold Gryffindor, from wild moor,
fair Ravenclaw, from glen,
sweet Hufflepuff, from valley broad,
shrewd Slytherin, from fen.

Why yes, the footnotes do include footnotes.
[Crossposted to Livejournal.]

A silly, cracky Good Omens drabble for [personal profile] karanguni, who has recently reached egregiously unnatural levels of awesome.

Footnotes to the Strange and Varied Ethics of the Demon Formerly Known as Crawly.

Oddly enough, the original document has never been uncovered. )

Dreamwidth, Leverage and Change, oh my!
Guys, you guys! I signed up for open ID over at Dreamwidth, and actually got an account in the lucky draw. I THOUGHT THAT WAS JUST AN URBAN CYBER MYTH.

I don't usually make self-referential posts, as most on my flist would know. My journal is almost entirely fannish, but for what it's worth;

Some thoughts on change, Dreamwidth, and believe it or not, the galactic politics of fandom. (+ Music + 2 x Leverage set pics for the win.) )

Blatant Self-Indulgence, meet Shameless Prose. Now gang up on Charlie.
Meme from [livejournal.com profile] speccygeekgrrl

1. Take five books off your bookshelf.
2. Book #1 -- first sentence
3. Book #2 -- last sentence on page fifty
4. Book #3 -- second sentence on page one hundred
5. Book #4 -- next to the last sentence on page one hundred fifty
6. Book #5 -- final sentence of the book
7. Make the five sentences into a paragraph

I first met Dean not long after my wife and I split up. I murmured an excuse and slipped away, leaving them to their own formidable devices. The eye of the saint, focused on the meaning of a short earthly life, frightful in every way, focused on the imminence of the final decision about an endless new life to come, this burnt-out eye, in a half-wasted body, made men of the old world tremble to their depths. A long, stringy man, wearing three rows of beads around his neck, and a belt of chicken-bones around his waist; his dark skin stained with ashes his hair loose and long - naked except for beads and ashes, the sadhu strides up amongst the red-tiled mansions. I felt like a monster reincarnation of Horatio Alger ... A Man on the Move, and just sick enough to be totally confident.

Which sparked an apocalyptic SPN drabble. Don't ask. Spoilers are vague for S4 )

Jason Jones: I'M SORRY, I MUST HAVE BLOOD IN MY EAR.

Oh Daily Show, never change.

And now a Supernatural AU of the Political/Punditry fandom has eaten my brain. )

And now, because there is a magnificent one brewing over the ocean, a mix of songs that I, for whatever reason, associate with thunderstorms:
